The docility of the 40 Limousin R2 Bulls on offer was a credit to the owners, Erik and Lyn Van der Velden. Visitors to the Ormondville Limousin Stud were treated to a vast array of genetics, shown in generally low birth weight, short gestation and easy calving bulls. Mangatara also had their own herd sires available to all to see. Lyn had been up all night cooking and preparing food for the appreciative visitors.
The R2 bulls on offer were in 3 mobs each with different prices. Progeny of the sires on offer were both black and apricot with Limousin Pure and Limflex ( Limousin Angus x) on show. The sires include a new bull, Wulfs Eisenhower, along with some old favourites like Ionesco. Many of the bulls were sired by Mangatara Bulls including 912N, 944P, 650M, 798N,756N, 217K and many more.One of the current herd sires, Mangatara 996. Muscling from Ionesco with Red colour and length from Wulfs Xtractor attracted a lot of admiration for this bull.Mob 1 bulls included the Top 10 R 2 Bulls. Included in this mob was two Wulfs Eisenhowser R2 Bulls.
