North Island Limousin Breeders Inc is an incorporated society developed to support the promotion of Limousin in the North Island. People who join NILB do not have to be registered breeders with LBBNZ.
The AGM is in November each year. Usually it is held at one of the North Island Studs. The main promotional activity has been the North Island Limousin Breeders’ Bull Trial and Sale. Yearling bulls join the trial in September. The bulls are weighed and assessed monthly, culminating in their sale in June the following year. We are currently looking for a property to host the bulls for 2023/2024.
2024 will see two of our North Island members holding auction sales:
Mangatara will hold an auction on Monday 27 May, of approx 24 bulls and 10 heifers on farm at 66 Rakaiati Rd, Ormondville.
Snake Gully will hold its annual auction of bulls at 1pm on June 14 on farm at 493 Omana Rd, Waiotira, Whangarei.
